Support for the destruction of Israel?
The organizations of Quebec and Canada listed below which, knowingly or not, support the claims of the Palestinians, do they also support the National Charter of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) of 1968, which calls for the destruction of Israel? Or do they dissociate themselves from it?
This Charter is the basic document of the Palestinian Authority. It's still in effect despite numerous calls for it's modification since it was adopted in July 1968.
The thirty three articles of this Charter deny any legitimacy to the State of Israel and call for armed struggle as the only way leading to the "liberation of Palestine". They state clearly this is a strategy for the Palestinian Authority and not just a tactical phase.
The geographical area refered to in the Charter as "Palestine" includes today's Israel and the Hachemite Kingdom of Jordan. Thus, the expression "Liberation of Palestine", as it appears in the Charter, means the destruction of Israel as an independant State and the destruction of Jordan.
