On October 7, 2000, three soldiers were on a routine patrol on the Israel-Lebanon border. They were shelled by the Hezbollah terrorist organization. The soldiers were wounded in the attack and taken into captivity. Their abductors used United Nations uniforms and identification to conduct this brutal operation.
Since then, no organization, including the Red Cross, has been allowed by the Hezbollah to check on the condition of the soldiers and to ensure that their human rights are respected.
U.N. leaders have tried many times to acquire information, but to no avail. The families also got leaders from the USA, Russia, the Netherlands, Japan, France and other countries to speak to the Hezbollah but these efforts were unsuccessful.
The danger grows as time passes.
Please help us bring our sons home, plead the families!
